Kulim Bandar Baru MP Zulkifli Noordin via his blog made bold statements of the increasing rifts in Pakatan’s opposition alliances.
Regarding DAP Kedah threatening to quit Pakatan Rakyat, he said that the implication is far reaching as that would mean positions in the state assembly would be vacant, and there would be turmoil in terms of civil service to the people in the absence of these officials.
Zulkifli was quoted, “Once the state DAP withdraws from the coalition, the lone DAP representative in the state assembly, Kota Darul Aman MP Lee Guan Aik, will no longer support the state government. All DAP members in the city councils will have to resign. The state village headman council members will also have to let go of their positions”.
The Kulim MP also added that DAP chairman Karpal Singh, as one of the head of Pakatan leader shouldn’t have challenged PAS president Hadi Awang and Deputy Nasharudin Mat Isa to quit PAS for UMNO.
Zulkifli was confident that if DAP should just quit Pakatan, if they’re not agreeable on the alliance party goals and plans, and that if DAP were to leave Pakatan alliance, they would not have the success of support they’re having now under de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
He lastly added, “I’m worried that all this will cause a rift in Pakatan and that the rakyat who support Pakatan will get sick and tired of all the politicking”.
