![]() UMNO Assemblyman Rejects PKR PostPublished Jan 22nd, 2009
Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah was the assemblyman who lost to opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during the Permatang Pauh by-election. And it seems he was offered a post by the Pakatan Rakyat state government. Arif was offered an advisory post in the state’s freedom of information committee, and he rejected it after consulting with Penang UMNO. State UMNO liaison committee secretary Datuk Azhar Ibrahim confirmed Arif statement, and warns no UMNO member shall hold any position in the Pakatan Rakyat. Datuk Azhar Ibrahim added, “This is obviously a political ploy by the state government to weaken Umno unity.” It seems that PKR offered the job as they wants a man who will enhance the dissemination of information to the public for the state. The job opening is still up. Any takers? ![]()
