PKR Bukit Selambau By-Election Candidate Not Supported By All Within Party

Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has announced today, that entrepreneur S. Manikumar is Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) candidate for the Bukit Selambau state by-election in Kedah.

But it seems that some of the PKR supporters didn’t agree with the selection as they wanted a more ‘experienced’ candidate.

As a mark of protest, a group of PKR supporters closed several PKR operations rooms.

The April 7th by-election will be a hotly contested seat, after the former Bukit Selambau assemblyman V. Arumugam resigned as the state assemblyman last month.

Barisan Nasional (BN) has nominated Kedah MIC deputy chairman Datuk S. Ganesan as its candidate.
