Iman Who Witnessed Saiful Sodomy Oath-Taking is Sacked

Islamic Development Department (Jakim) has sacked imam Ramlang Porigi.

He was the Federal Territory Mosque imam who witnessed alleged sodomy victim Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan’s oath-taking.

But later he claims he was ordered to do so, and even spoke at several Parti Keadilan Rakyat ceramah during the Permatang Pauh by-election period last year about his ‘forced’ oath witnessing.

With that, he now face three charges where the Public Services Commission sacked Ramlang under Regulation 38(g) of the Public Officers (Conduct and Discipline) Regulations 1993.

Ramlang still stands by his statement that he had been directed to witness Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan swearing on the Quran dated 15th August, where Saiful swore that PKR leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim sodomised him.

He has 14 days to appeal from the date of the termination letter.
