As they say, the ball is in Najib’s court now. Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has seek to redress the issue of all ISA detainees to be release.
That includes incarcerated Hindraf leaders and Jemaah Islamiah members to prove show that he’s not about to bring back the Mahatir-era of repression that the media is painting a picture of him.
Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was quoted, “We expect him, as the Prime Minister, to be more open and if he is really into reforms, he should release the ISA (Internal Security Act) detainees immediately,” he said after attending a village feast in Kampung Kuala Sin, near here.”
