An independent poll by Merdeka Center published today revealed that Malaysia’s new Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak is soaring.
It was a low 42 per cent in May and now has climbed to 65 per cent approval rating.
Even Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad has given the nod for Najib’s 100 days in office.
Dr. M was quoted, “Some of the things he does are very good but there are things that are not so good. So, it’s even. Well, he has problems because people are still not giving their full support to the Government.”
Experts attribute Najib popular ratings for his efforts in the new policies and reforms for more equality within the ethnic ranks and removing some of the decades-old economic privileges for ethnic Malays.
Some 1,062 respondents was polled for the rating findings by Merdeka Center.
