A poll by Merdeka Center released yesterday showed that Malaysian opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim scored well at the poll, where the public voted him as a better choice for Prime Minister to lead the country than the current ruling coalition.
Anwar scored 43 per cent of the public vote, versus the 30 per cent for which Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minster Najib Razak received; whom Pak Lah is grooming for successor to his PM post.
The poll also shares the public concerns of the country’s economy where inflation is at a 27 year old high and fuel prices have risen considerably.
People are rooting for Anwar Ibrahim as he promised to topple the current government and ease the economy woes.
