![]() Malaysia Anti Corruption Agency Uncovers RM45 million Of BriberyPublished Nov 2nd, 2008
Anti-Corruption Agency director-general Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan told the media that his ACA unit has investigated bribery cases for the past 10 months where an estimated $RM45 million was involved. In the investigation some, $RM8.8 million worth of properties was seized, $RM1.3 million in fines issued, 548 people arrested (252 are civil servants) from 13,669 tip-offs from the public. Datuk Seri Ahmad Said Hamdan also commented that ACA will do their utmost part to change the mindset of the public that corruption is rampant within the government. ![]()
