A group of 25 Indian Malaysians gathered today to protest against the decision of self proclaimed Hindraf chair, P Waythamoorthy to sue the press.
Waythamoorthy had previously filed a suit against several news organisations including Tamil press – Malaysia Nanban, Makkal Osai, Tamil Nesan – and Malaysiakini over reports questioning the accounts for the money accumulated from the public.
M Manimaran, a co-organiser accredited Tamil press and Malaysiakini for introducing Hindraf whereas co-organiser A Prakash Rao questioned why is Waythamoorthy aimed his shots at the press instead of Umno.
