![]() Government to help lower income earnersPublished Apr 10th, 2009
Those who are earning less than RM3,000 monthly fret not. The government promises a plan that will “improve their livelihood”. Announced by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the Economic Planning Unit is currently in progress of drafting such plan. He mentioned the plan is necessary to “stave off the impact of the global financial crisis”. Muhyiddin added, “he majority in the country earn between RM1,000 and RM3,000 a month. They are not poor but they would be affected by increases in the cost of living. The aid given will be according to the different sectors”. Sounds like a good initiative, let’s just hope it doesn’t fall through. ![]()
