![]() The Opposition coalition is in a messPublished Feb 14th, 2009
The Opposition party of three, DAP, PAS and PKR seems array these days. Internal political strife seems to be making the headlines in the media and it doesn’t looks good. With the upcoming simultaneous by-election at Bukit Selambau (Kedah) and Bukit Gantang (Perak), this will be a litmus test for the party. Can they hold on to their Parliamentary seats, or this failure will be the start of the party falling like a deck of cards. There already has been rumors, like in Perak saga, several assemblymen are already wanting to abandon Pakatan sinking ship and cross over to BN. I personally think these assemblymen are ‘Melayu Celup’. Such loyalty are easily swayed by political promises. They should rather stick with a party, with guns blazing be it in good or bad times. Now Anwar at hand has to cater to both DAP and PAS widening disagreement between the two. We all know DAP publicly doesn’t approve of PAS proposal of the Hudud Law. Also DAP’s chairman Karpal Singh has been giving more ammunition to the media and ruling coalition for fodder use, as he continues to rallies for Anwar’s resignation, plus his pursuit to file a suit against the Sultan of Perak. Anwar political game plate is full, and it will will be a miracle if he pulls this one through. We can only pray and hope for the best, and await for the outcome. ![]()
