About 70 livestock farmers brought along 30 trucks containing live cows, water buffaloes and goats, to stage a protest in front of the Selangor state secretariat in Shah Alam today.

It is good to see that cows and goats are taken by lorries to a protest against the Selangor’s government ‘slow’ action to help the victims of Ulu Yam landslide instead of dragging chopped of heads!
A sensible by uneconomic demonstration did leave an impression and the correct explanation by the personnel concerned cleared the air!
I feel we Malaysians expect miracles from our government! Yes, help must come from those whom we pay taxes to and help improve the nation’s economy but do not let our own problems blind us to what sometimes they have already started doing! Demonstrations need only come about when really nothing is being done! If we demonstrate for the sake of demonstrating or if we do so because some people are making use of us for their own political advantage, then we are mere pawns and fools!
