![]() Anwar Says “Attorney General Has Too Much Power”Published Dec 16th, 2008
Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants more power allocated to the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Currently the Attorney General’s Chambers has the full discretion to charge people in court, Anwar citing that a person in such position has too much power. Instead Anwar suggest Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission to have two separate arms. One for investigating and the other to charge them in court. The de facto Opposition leader was once the victim of abuse of power by the Attorney General, as claims.
