Badawi to step down this Thursday

This Thursday Prime Minister of Malaysia Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will be stepping down.

He will offer his resignation to the King of Malaysia as mentioned in his announcement yesterday at the UMNO party meeting.

The premier will be succeeded by his party member Najib Razak, who is currently the Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister.

And the actual date of succession of Najib into power has yet to be officially released.
